Troop

the leaders in our district and yet greatly influence the health and
safety of the troop itself.

Scoutmaster/ASM Training (SALT)
Three-part training that presents the
skills and methods Scoutmasters can use to organize a Boy Scout Troop
and support its boy leaders in developing and delivering an effective,
exciting Scouting program. The three sessions are as follows:

Scoutmaster in a Boy-Led Troop
- Lighting the Fire: The Outdoor &
Advancement Programs
- Keeping it Going: Program
Planning and Troop Administration
- Pre-requisite: New Leader

- SALT is the all-day

ITOLS |
Introduction to Outdoor Leadership Skills
(ITOLS)
A weekend
camping experience which teaches you how to teach the outdoor skills
necessary for a Scout to attain the Tenderfoot, Second Class, and First
Class ranks.
ITOLS consists of a one-day
orientation and a full weekend outing, normally held in the fall. Both the
orientation session and the weekend are required.
